Our medical team consists of highly qualified Board Certified and fellowship-trained professionals; and is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology.
We are currently seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologistfor an immediate full-time opportunity.
HOURS: Monday to Friday- 8:30am to 5:00pm
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for performing high quality Nuclear Medicine examinations as directed by the physician and/or department policy.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all Nuclear Medicine procedures.
- Responsible for preparing radiopharmaceutical for use in patient studies; preparing stock solutions or radiopharmaceutical.
- Assures quality control of radiopharmaceutical, including calibration, chemical purity checks, radionuclide purity checks, percent yield and instant thin layer chromatography to guarantee integrity of solution to avoid radiation exposure.
- Responsible for explaining procedures, reassuring patient and securing the full cooperation of the patient during testing; completes testing of bone scans, cardiac scans, general studies, both static and dynamic; performs testing procedures where required.
- Observes radiation safety techniques, including use of protective shielding, handling and disposal of radiopharmaceutical, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or graduate of American Medical Association approved program in Nuclear Medicine.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- ACLS and BCLS by the American Heart Association a plus

Pay: $45.82 - $50.89 per hour
