We offer exceptional strategic, financial and administrative support services on an outsourced, fractional basis. We have worked in the sector for over 10 years and have developed the expertise, rigor and best practices to operate nonprofits efficiently and effectively.

Position Summary:

HGA is seeking talented professionals to joins its nonprofit consulting ranks. Ideal candidates will be current or former investment bankers, accountants or finance professionals. We welcome applicants who are seeking an opportunity to re-enter the workforce, or who are looking to transition to a more flexible career. Training will be provided for consultants who have not worked in the nonprofit sector previously.

Our consultants provide strategic, financial and administrative services to our nonprofit clients on an outsourced basis. Our clients typically require approximately 30-40 hours per month (8-10 hours per week), and our consultants often work with two or more clients at a time. Consultants are free to take on as little or as much work they desire, and services are typically provided remotely, allowing our consultants to work from home and control their schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly financial reporting
• Forecasting and budget development
• Oversight of annual audit, 990 filings and single audits
• Restricted funds reporting and tracking
• Board analyses and presentations
• Management of human resources, payroll and benefits
• Management of reserves, endowments and capital campaigns

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree from a nationally-ranked university, MBA a plus
• Minimum of five years in finance or accounting
• Organized and detail-oriented personality
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal oversight or directive
• A passion for nonprofits
