SalaryCapital Quarries is seeking to fill several Night Shift Operator positions at our Pocahontas Quarry in Arkansas, this position consists of fluctuating hours, up to 10-hour days. There will be a shift differential pay for Night Shift work.
JOB DUTIES:
- Move, load, and handle materials with the use of heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, front-end loaders, and/or other large machinery to lift, haul, push, roll, load, and move aggregate-related material.
- Dirt removal
- Run 40-ton articulated truck
- Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner under varying weather conditions, while exposed to dampness, fumes, dust, electrical, mechanical, and traffic hazards.
- Being knowledgeable in the operation of multiple pieces of industry-related equipment.
- Routine maintenance on the equipment, including keeping equipment clean and operable.
- Communicate with the foreman and coworkers to the daily job specifications.
- Perform general labor duties when necessary.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of the practices and techniques applied to the safe operation of heavy equipment, including recordkeeping of operations
- Equipment operation and maintenance experience
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license
- Weekends and travel required, as needed
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
