Job Summary:
  1. Create and plan ELD curriculum for Recently Arrived English Learners (RAELs) and instruction in collaboration with content area co-teachers for Newcomer Academy
  2. Teach math standards aligned with curriculum of Independent School District 196
  3. Collaborate with Cultural Family Advocates in order to support students and families
  4. Carry out responsibilities as defined by ELD Leadership team, administration, and site coordinator
  5. Maintain good communication and cooperation with students, staff and families
  6. Support, supervise, and advise NA counselors
Qualifications:
  1. Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach ESL and math
  2. Strong general academic background
  3. Ability to relate positively to students, staff and community
  4. Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  5. Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Compensation:
$40.00/hr on student-contact days
