General Summary:

The Manager of New Store Openingsand Facilities Management is responsible for leading the execution of New Store Openings and capital projects in existing Lucchese Stores and properties. The role is responsible for strategic planning, developing budgets, and working closely with the executive team. The Manager will be responsible for driving execution of capital projects by demonstrating effective planning and project management, vendor and contract management, budgeting, forecasting, process management, cost control, problem solving, knowledge of construction, and executive level communication.

  • Establishing excellence in facilities quality of New Store Opening, existing retail stores, and other company facilities.

Leadership Focus/Steward of the Brand:

  • Understand, lead, and communicate the Lucchese brand aesthetic, brand philosophy, and lifestyle to the team and customer.
  • Network and create positive vendor relationships in each of the communities Lucchese operates, that result in business generation, and awareness of the Lucchese brand.
  • Maintain an ongoing focus of improving processes and tools to ensure all projects are completed on time, on-budget, and with high quality work. Maintains a high degree of flexibility to achieve exemplary results.
  • Collaborate with stores and corporate business partners and vendors to plan and execute all capital projects for new and/or existing Lucchese stores and Facilities. These interactions will include project scope, pricing, purchasing, reporting, lease negotiations, and placements.

Operational Excellence Focus:

  • Establish daily٫ weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to Lucchese Executive Leaders.
  • Ensure the company’s physical assets (building, equipment, inventory, etc.) are properly controlled and maintained, protected, and utilized.
  • Ensure superior customer service to customers, and internal partners, by delivering and communicating on productivity and quality commitments.
  • Develops the plan for project, and prepares cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
  • Selects General Contractors, Subcontractors and schedules and directs their activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site general contractors, overseeing store layout design, all capital projects, and troubleshooting. This role is the first responder and primary source of communication for facilities, New Store Openings, and other facilities-related projects/maintenance.
  • Plans, coordinates budgets, and manages commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Oversees, monitors, and directs the scope of a project.
  • In partnership with executive team this role defines the goals of the project; brainstorms and collaborates with heads of departments, architects, engineers, technicians, and designers to get a clearer picture of what the project can achieve and is aligned to our brand.
  • Responsible for all executive updates and is responsible for building consensus on any changes, issues, and rollout plans for New Stores and existing stores.
  • Source and maintain a portfolio of fixture installation and special project vendors. Responsible for all contracts, pricing, lease negotiations, store build-out, and refurbishment of existing stores.
  • Own and maintain expense and capital budgets associated with all new and existing store capital projects and initiatives. Ensures all expenditures and forecasts are accurate and aligned with Lucchese policies and procedures.
  • Supports annual capital planning and provides fixture-related implementation, costing, project planning expertise, and construction knowledge for all store prototype and capital project planning.
  • Support other activities in store operations and Facilities as required.


Skill and Abilities Required:

  • Passion and desire for excellence by exceeding goals consistently.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in related field (Construction Management)
  • 5+ years of remote site development/management; experience leading store/retail capital projects required.
  • 5+ years of leading direct/indirect teams in corporate and multi-unit settings.
  • Project Management experience, Project Management Office (PMO) experience (preferred).
  • Develop and maintain budgets, project forecasts and project cost reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor contract and relationships, line-item bids, negotiations, commitment letters, lease negotiations, and all other administrative processes required to facilitate capital project and fixture project execution.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in similar management and or leadership roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of OSHA requirements and guidelines in industrial and commercial/retail settings, including powered equipment guidelines and regulations.
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships across multiple levels in the organization.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive employee, customer, and cross functional team relations.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.
  • Ability to communicate with others (speak, listen, and comprehend English language, visualize layouts)
  • Ability to travel 50-75% - primarily domestic, via airplane and/or automobile.
  • Other duties as assigned
