Position Summary:
Derrel’s Mini Storage, Inc. is looking for a full-time Network Technician. Under the direction of the Technical Supervisor, the Network Technician will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and maintaining networks and in-house servers. This position is responsible for installing and integrating new hardware and applications, along with monitoring network performance and security. Monitoring access control, alarm systems, automation, low voltage control circuits, and video systems, both IP and analog.

This position would include monitoring projects throughout Central California, from Sacramento to Bakersfield. This position works regularly inside our company’s central monitoring station located in Fresno, Ca.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Engage in basic network administration and troubleshooting stability issues
• Managing network components, both hardware and software
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the department
• Perform some training and assist fellow team members
• Work with remote networking management tools

• Maintains strict confidentiality for the company when conducting observations and investigations
• Operates CCTV/digital equipment to conduct surveillance
• Uses computer and associated hardware to complete documentation
• Writes and prepares daily reports and logs
• Identify and install, replace, configure network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Maintains evidence by saving video to the Archive Server
• Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts
• Maintain Windows
• Present related work as requested
• Any other jobs designated by the Technical Supervisor
• Notifies and directs specific divisions of security and law enforcement during events

Required Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of IT experience preferably in a technical support role
• Proficient in evaluating and troubleshooting various technical areas
• Strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Proficiency in Office 365
• Ability to independently handle multiple work projects
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships from diverse age, ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds
• Clean California Driver’s License record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in communication, internet protocols, CCTV/IP surveillance, and network support
