Job Title: Network Systems Engineer
Summary:
Seeking a skilled Network Systems Engineer. As the sole member of the team, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting network solutions. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of network infrastructure, providing project management for installations and upgrades, and serving as a liaison between Technology/Business partners and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, install, and maintain LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
- Provide routine after-hours maintenance and emergency support.
- Establish and maintain network users, directories, and security attributes.
- Oversee setup and troubleshoot communications between computers, networks, and other resources.
- Develop and maintain documentation of network administration processes.
- Test and evaluate software and hardware.
- Work with management to develop and communicate standards for network operations and security.
- Mentor team members through knowledge and skill transfer.
- Be customer service-oriented and effectively communicate with end-users and team members.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Windows Server Operating Systems 2008 and 2012.
- 2-4 years of experience in the installation of computer networking and communications equipment.
- Strong project management, systems analysis, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize, review, and evaluate work.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- VoIP and Advanced wireless experience are advantageous.
- Virtualization experience in VMware and Hyper-V as well as VDI solutions is a plus.
- Microsoft or other industry certifications (Cisco) are preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Work involves moderately heavy work in an office setting. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift objects (up to 50 pounds), and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems.
- 2-4 years of experience in installing computer networking and communications equipment.
- Valid driver's license is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $65,000.00 per year
