Description
Primary Function
The primary function of this position will serve our customers, both internal and external, by managing the day-to-day operation & security of the network, including firewall & routing rules, monitoring traffic and user activities, and remediating vulnerabilities. Assists is the design and function of the security procedures for the networking and communication systems of The Reid Group.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Network Administration: Design, Deploy, Monitor and continually improve the network infrastructure for the Reid Petroleum corporate office and Crosby's store locations.
• Network Security: Implement, maintain, and enforce security policies and procedures to secure the organization's computing network.
• Systems Administration: Update servers, software, hardware, and applications as required. Ensure that Server maintenance, and monitoring is done on a daily basis, ensuring systems maintain high availability.
• Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Assist in defining and implementing Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, and Incident Response Plans to ensure data and system availability in case of emergencies.
• Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with developments in the IT industry, including new security solutions, software updates, and best practices.
• System Upgrades and Enhancements: Recommend, schedule, and perform system upgrades and enhancements, as well as evaluate and procure new software or hardware solutions to improve performance, security, and capacity of server and network systems.
• Security System Management: Deploy, manage, and maintain security systems and associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption tools, and antivirus software.
• Security Solution Integration: Deploy, integrate, and configure new security solutions and enhancements according to best practices and organizational needs.
• Data Security: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data on workstations, servers, and other systems, including data stored in databases and other repositories.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance and efficiency of security solutions and assess the need for reconfigurations or adjustments to ensure optimal security.
• Vulnerability Assessments and Audits: Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify and address system vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
• Network Usage Monitoring: Monitor network usage to ensure compliance with security policies and report on security systems and end-user activity audits.
• User Education: Educate colleagues about security software and best practices for information security, fostering an understanding of security goals and encouraging cooperation.
• Log Analysis: Continuously monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for any unusual or suspicious activity, interpreting data and making recommendations for resolution.
• Security Updates: Recommend, schedule, and apply security patches, fixes, disaster recovery procedures, and other measures as necessary in response to security breaches or vulnerabilities.
Requirements
Knowledge / Skill Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or applicable experience.
• Security systems certifications such as: CISSP, CASP+,GSEC, MS: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CEH.
• Network administration certifications such as: CCNA, Network5, MCSA, Network+
• PCI compliance awareness.
• Working knowledge of computer networking & Systems cybersecurity monitoring and best practices.
• Working knowledge of networks, internet, and data communications.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary Description
$86,000-$113,000
