Job Summary

• A Network Field Engineer will assist with the implementation, maintenance, and support of our growing network infrastructure.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect and install network equipment and new technologies
• Commission new points of presence, including cabinets, racks, AC and/or DC power systems, connectivity, and network and other electronic equipment
• Diagnose and resolve onsite malfunctions
• Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment
• Troubleshoot fiber optic connectivity issues following industry best practices
• Work independently to complete projects to specification and on schedule

Job Qualifications

• Education: 2 year technology focused technical degree or greater
• Experience: 2 years of field experience or related experience with the following:
  • One or more Network Operating System CLI, i.e. Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, etc.
  • Optical networks and related components, tools, and procedures
  • Telecommunications AC and DC power systems
• Must pass a drug screening
• May be required to pass a technical skills assessment
• Must possess a valid Driver's license with a clean driving record

• Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device and/or a paper copy

• Ability to respond to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces

• Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather

• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
