Direct hire opening for a Network Engineer. ONSITE IN CANONSBURG, PA.
In this role you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our network systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Collaborate with system administrators to ensure seamless integration between network and system components.
- Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize network resources.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Assist in planning and executing network upgrades and expansions.
- Participate in ITIL-compliant change management process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in networking, cyber security, system administration, or telecommunications.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical proficiency with the following platforms:
- Aruba routing, switching, wi-fi, and NAC.
- Cisco routing and switching.
- Azure and AWS virtual cloud networking.
- Palo Alto firewalls,
- Guardicore micro-segmentation
- SolarWinds network management
