A little about the role…
This role is responsible for all of Procare’s technology infrastructure in collaboration with individual product/development teams in a highly collaborative DevOps culture. This covers on-prem, data center, and cloud/AWS infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and manage the technology infrastructure and architecture with regards to servers, networking, connectivity across the AWS cloud and some data center workloads
- Ensure reliability, redundancy, and scalability of all points of the infrastructure – and collaborate with software engineering leaders on site reliability
- Define and implement failover, backup, and rollback policies and procedures
- Ensure availability of non-production environments to facilitate development, testing (functional and load/performance/stress), and integration
- Proactive monitoring and alerting of all aspects of infrastructure and applications, provide proactive notifications to both internal and external customers
- Manage Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans, incl. regular testing
- Partner with technology managers on DevOps practices for build and deployment (CI/CD) and infrastructure-as-code (IAC)
- Partner with Security and Compliance Director on implementing security and data privacy policies/controls
- Manage and deliver efficient end-user solutions and equipment – laptops/workstations, Office 365, Slack, Zoom, meeting rooms, software and subscriptions
- Vendor management – maintain strong working relationship with key vendors and manage expenses
- Manage ITIL-based IT Service Management – change, incident/problem, service request management
- Define and implement DevOps practices for production/operations
- Measure and report on the productivity and quality of teams and progress of initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and manage individual technical contributors and managers/leads
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate will have…
10 years’ experience in technical leadership/management role
Broad hands-on experience with both traditional infrastructure and AWS/cloud platforms
Highly technical background, must have significant current hands-on experience with the relevant technologies listed below
- Public cloud platforms – AWS required
- Traditional data center hosting incl. HW virtualization
- Database platforms – MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- MS Office 365/Active Directory
- Networking technologies
Experience with infrastructure and user experience monitoring solutions, such as CloudWatch, New Relic, PRTG, Pingdom, etc.
Experience with formal IT Service Management based on ITIL standards
Experience managing technical teams with multiple manager-level and individual contributor direct reports
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Minimum 10 years’ experience as systems and infrastructure engineer/administrator
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a lead/manager of small to mid sized teams

Salary
$130K to $200K DOE
