The Network Engineer II is responsible for engineering, configuration, and installation of the company's internal network systems. This position designs, evaluates and installs LANs, WANs, WLANs, Internet and other data and voice communications systems (IP and VoIP). Candidates must have extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN, data communications systems, network protocols, remote access, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Key contributor on infrastructure projects to support network routing and switching requirements including designing, configuring and troubleshooting large-scale networks
- Work with partners and internal staff to understand their business goals & requirements, make recommendations for solutions, and evangelize about new or emerging technologies
- Participate in the design process working with our Partners / Network Architects
- Follow project methodology and generate best-practices network documentation
- Act as the Routing and Switching Subject Matter Expert for all internal infrastructure projects
- Adhere to all network security best practices
- Participates in an on-call rotation and may be required to perform after hours maintenance
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent years training and experience
- Minimum 4 years of data Network Engineering experience, 7 years in lieu of a degree
- Minimum Cisco Certifications Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent
- Experience in data center infrastructure including Cisco ISR, Cisco ASR, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience supporting Network Security, including but not limited to Palo Alto firewalls
- Experience administering and troubleshooting with Cisco Wireless infrastructure
- Experience with site-to-site VPNs for WAN connectivity and backup
- Experience with networking in cloud environments including AWS and Azure
- Experience and understanding network protocols like, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, 802.1q tagging, Ethernet, Spanning Tree
- Experience with Metro Ethernet, LAN/WAN network design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Prefered but not required understanding of UCaaS and CCaaS platforms
- Ability to facilitate technical design and architecture discussions with internal staff as well as external partners
- Experience with network management tools like Solarwinds, Prime and Netflow is desirable
- Proficient in office productivity tools and has strong communications skills
- Ideal candidate is goal-oriented, takes initiative, is collaborative and thrives in a team environment
- Experience supporting a retail environment is a plus
- Familiarity with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery methodologies
