Network Engineer (Extrahop Specialist)

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with extensive networking expertise and specialized knowledge in ExtraHop. As a Network Engineer at CyberGen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing network performance using ExtraHop’s advanced capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain network solutions.
• Configure and deploy ExtraHop appliances for real-time network visibility and performance monitoring.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

• Utilize ExtraHop to monitor network traffic, detect anomalies, and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Investigate performance bottlenecks, latency, and security incidents using ExtraHop insights.

Capacity Planning and Optimization:

• Analyze network data collected by ExtraHop to identify capacity requirements and optimize network resources.
• Recommend improvements based on ExtraHop metrics and trends.

Security and Compliance:

• Leverage ExtraHop’s security features to monitor for suspicious activity, detect threats, and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement network security policies.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and ExtraHop configurations.
• Generate regular reports using ExtraHop analytics to track network performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Certifications:

• CCNA, CCNP, and ExtraHop certifications (preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Proven expertise in configuring and managing ExtraHop appliances.
• Familiarity with other network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
