Position Overview:
As a Network Administrator at ParksideTech, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network devices, with a particular focus on switch, firewall, and router configurations. You will work closely with our team to ensure network reliability, performance, and security for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Conduct light structured cabling and fiber optic installations and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Deploy full switch, firewall, and router solutions tailored to meet client needs.
- Monitor network performance and implement optimizations to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement new network solutions.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Hands-on experience with switch, firewall, and router deployment and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with structured cabling and fiber optic technologies.
- Experience with Fortinet and Ubiquiti products is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
