Job Summary
Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is looking for a full-time, Network Administrator Associate. The Network Administrator Associate configures and maintains wired and wireless networks and IP telephony in a Aruba, Juniper and Cisco environment. In addition, the Network Administrator Associate maintains close working relationships with other administrators, management, and vendors. This position follows networking best practices and change management processes. This position may be required to work evenings and weekends, and requires a physical presence on campus.
Essential Functions
20% - Performs troubleshooting for various systems, Cisco/Juniper/Aruba hybrid based networks, and/or other communication equipment by completing service requests and incidents.
20% - Supports and manages Cisco telecommunication infrastructure.
15% - Manages projects and configures infrastructure as directed by supervisor
15% - Performs cabling and wiring of systems and components
15% - Works with vendors to diagnose problems
15% - Performs monitoring, testing and documentation. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or related field.
OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of direct, on the job experience configuring Juniper switches
- Two (2) or more years of direct, on the job experience configuring Cisco switches
- Two (2) or more years of direct, on the job experience with switch OS deployment solutions, such as Cisco DNA or Junos Space
- Two (2) or more years of direct, on the job experience with an enterprise wireless infrastructure.
- Two (2) or more years of direct, on the job experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager, Unified Contact Center Express, Cisco Unity Connection, IM & Presence, Cisco Unified Border Element.
- BA/BS degree or three (3) or more Certifications such as Network +, CCNA, JNCIA, or Associates degree in related field
Special Working Conditions
• Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at the candidate's own expense.
• May be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations.
• May be required to work evenings and weekends.
• May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen.
• May be required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Climbing stairs and/or ladders to reach assigned areas along with working at heights.
