H&E Equipment Services has an immediate need within the IT Department for an experienced .NET Software Engineer. The engineer is responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining innovative, scalable backend systems and integration solutions that simplify and advance internal business processes as well as maintaining and enhancing processes and tools to support development, deployment, and monitoring of resources in Azure and legacy Windows server environments. The engineer is a member of a Scrum team committed to the design, development, testing, deployment, and analytics that go into delivering high quality results.
Job Requirements:
• Build and support web APIs in Azure using C#, ASP.NET, and Docker
• Build and support integration solutions in Azure using C#, Function Apps, Event Grid Domains, Service Bus, Storage accounts, and Azure SQL
• Build and support reliable and efficient CICD pipelines via established DevOps practices
• Maintain secure access to configuration data and secrets via established DevOps practices
• Maintain secure, reliable access to H&E's source code via established DevOps practices
• Automate and optimize processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues in non-production and production environments
• Articulate ideas, thoughts, and concerns both written and verbally
• Collaborate within a Scrum team to understand requirements and facilitate the development of innovative and efficient processes and tools to meet complex, changing needs and to accomplish common goals
• Collaborate with other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
• Work independently to meet assigned goals
• Accept a change in priorities as necessary
• Adapt to emerging technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with building secure web APIs using C#, ASP.NET, and OAuth
• Experience with building data models using Entity Framework and Azure SQL or SQL Server
• Experience with serverless technologies like Azure Function Apps
• Experience with messaging technologies like Service Bus and Event Grid Domains
• Experience with data storage technologies like Azure Storage accounts, SQL Server, and Azure SQL
• Experience with data scripting languages like T-SQL
• Experience with container technologies like Docker
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell
• Experience implementing CICD concepts in Azure DevOps
• Experience developing ARM/BICEP templates
• Experience developing YAML pipelines
• Experience implementing secure version control concepts with Git in Azure DevOps
• Experience implementing source code branching concepts in Azure DevOps
• Experience automating and optimizing processes
• Experience developing with PowerShell and Azure CLI
• Experience with cloud services like Azure or AWS
• Experience with ERP solutions like SAP
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field; or equivalent work experience
