NDT Inspector Level II
The following is a job description for an NDT inspector. These are the requirements but not limited to.
- Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.
- Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
- Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel.
- Assist Level 3 in developing specific test techniques.
- Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method as used by the employer.
- Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
- When specified, have a basic knowledge of aircraft or vehicle maintenance.
- Completed level II experience requirements and obtained level II certification and able to provide certificate.
- Adequate computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Provide proof of job history
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Aerospace experience helpful
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and able to document non-conformances as required.
- Successfully pass vision screen
- Ability to speak, read and write English.
- Excellent safety, attendance and punctuality history
- Ability to make decisions based on experience and available data.
- Will be required to wear PPE applicable to the test method being used.
- Able and willing to stand 90% of the time.
Valid Level II NDT certificate
High school diploma
College or University with Level II certificate/diploma
Certified under NAS410, EN 4179 or other recognized NDT qualification program.
