NDT Helper
Summary:
The NDT Helper assists the department with a variety of routine tasks. The Helper serves as the material handler for the department, loading, unloading, and moving product as necessary.
Major Job Duties:
• Load product for the sonic tanks or the penetrant line manually or with a hoist
• Be aware of surrounding and contribute to improving safety within the department
• Be aware of the activities of others to ensure every employee works safely
• Be flexible to work according to production needs in Penetrant & sonic
• Verify piece count
• Verify production parts
• Set up material and prepare product for inspection
• Understand and follow identification and traceability information
• Operate Identification equipment such as the Vibro engrave units
• Learn to use packing equipment
Qualifications:
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Able to follow verbal or written instructions
• Be flexible to work according to production needs in either the Penetrant Lines or Sonic Tanks
Ultrasonic Inspector Level I
Summary:
The primary role of the Ultrasonic Level 1 is to process parts, document results and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instructions. The position requires qualification and certification to NAS410 Level I in Ultrasonic per Weber Metals written practice, QWI-6.2-1.
Major Job Duties:
• Process parts, document the results and perform equipment standardization. Includes: Ultrasonic, Visual Inspection
• Carry out any necessary preparation of parts before and after inspection in accordance with approved work instructions.
• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard
• Create Ultrasonic Inspection Reports and DR forms which include photos, classification, location, size and disposition of indications/defects; attach photos and Ultrasonic Inspection Reports to DR module
Qualifications:
• Must meet the requirement and be certified to NAS 410 as an NDT Ultrasonic Level I:
-40 hours minimum formal training hours
-200 minimum on-the-job-training hours
-Capable of passing General, Specific and Practical NDT Ultrasonic Level I tests for certification

• Must complete and pass annual technical reviews for certification - Proficient and knowledgeable in the ERP system (job tracker, job manager, specifications, routing, tests, process routings for forgings)
