National SuicidePrevention Lifeline Crisis Intervention Specialist - Summary
NorthKey Community Care is seeking multiple individuals for remote contracted, on-call positions to work as National SuicidePrevention Lifeline Crisis Intervention Specialists as part of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988). These remote, on-call positions will work flexible shifts on week days overnight from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m., and/or on weekends from Friday 5:00 p.m. to Monday 8:30 a.m. Individuals may work as few as one shift per week or multiple shifts per week based upon their availability. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is now available nationwide by dialing 988. For this position, calls answered will originate from callers located in the Northern Kentucky region (counties include Kenton, Boone, Campbell, Grant, Pendleton, Carroll, Owen, and Gallatin).
This is a remote position and will be a contracted position with no benefits. It is preferred that candidates are familiar with the Northern Kentucky region.
National SuicidePrevention Lifeline Crisis Intervention Specialist- Perks & Pay
- Pay is a lump sum stipend per shift based upon education, licensure level, and type of shift covered.
- Completely remote, on-call work with a very flexible schedule.
- Overnight week day and weekend shifts available. Individuals may work as few as one shift per week or multiple shifts per week. Shifts are week nights from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 a.m. and weekends from Friday 5:00 p.m. - Monday 8:30 a.m.
- Annual stipend for completing required trainings.
- Company provides a data-enabled tablet.
National SuicidePrevention Lifeline Crisis Intervention Specialist- Qualifications
- At least 1 year working with individuals experiencing crisis and/or experience providing Crisis Intervention services.
- Prior experience answering National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988) calls is preferred.
- Excellent listening, empathy, and customer service skills.
- Availability and ability to answer calls on week nights from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 a.m., AND/ORon weekends from Friday at 5:00 p.m. to Monday at 8:30 a.m.
- Familiarity with the Northern Kentucky region is preferred, but not required (counties include Kenton, Boone, Campbell, Grant, Pendleton, Carroll, Owen, and Gallatin).
- Must have good accessibility to Verizon cellular service in your location in order to connect the company provided tablet.
- Must be able to work hours based on the Eastern Time Zone.
National SuicidePrevention Lifeline Crisis Intervention Specialist- Responsibilities
- Provide confidential emotional support to callers in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.
- Availability and ability to answer telephone calls during your scheduled shift (shifts are week nights overnight from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m., and on weekends from Friday at 5:00 p.m. to Monday at 8:30 a.m. based upon schedule developed by program manager.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation regarding calls answered.
- Complete all company-provided training and educational criteria.
