Job Summary
The OEM National Sales Manager - Adhesives is responsible for building and maintaining a highly effective sales team who is focused on achieving national sales objectives which are in line with corporate goals. Position is responsible for managing a team of account managers in the OEM business segment. This role is responsible for becoming the expert in OEM segment, the customers, and how to deliver differentiating value. The OEM National Sales Manager must develop expertise with OEM accounts and maintain a senior level relationship. It has national scope with some potential international scope. This person will be managing approximately $65M in revenue, 2 account managers and provide oversite for up to 20 OEM accounts. Travel expectations are up to 75%. This person must be able to manage cross functional teams and drive results in a Matrix organization. This person will be responsible for fostering and developing relationships with stake holders in key accounts. Ideal locations for this role is either the Midwest or East Coast.
The OEM National Sales Manager will monitor team’s performance toward goal, analyze and report on the team’s performance on a routine basis. This person will travel extensively to develop the team as well as key business opportunities.
This position will manage relationships with other intercompany functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support selling objectives and the growth/profitability of the Pro-Sales Group.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver to Bostik a concise monthly forecast and participate in the SIOP demand process
- Deliver innovative ideas and products that drive differentiation and new products
- Deliver a concise business plan using Building Blocks and Salesforce
- Participate in the SLTeam and the SMLTeam
- Collaborate with Marketing and R&D to develop and test new products
- Provide oversight on pricing and collaborate with Account Managers
- Foster and embrace senior level relationships with all OEM accounts
- Attend trade shows and represent Bostik when needed
- Responsible for hiring, mentoring, and training sales team to achieve regional goals.
Qualifications and Education Required
- Minimum of 10 years Sales Management Experience
- 4 year degree in related field. Marketing, engineering, business, Finance
Competencies -Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Must be proficient in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, excel, and Outlook. Salesforce is a plus. Must possess excellent communication skills and a passion to succeed. Must be able to understand a standard P&L and perform basic financial analysis.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry is a plus.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Moves equipment weighing up to 57 pounds
- Positions self to install, demo and test product
- Must be comfortable working in Labs
