Division: Monroe Truck Equipment - Monroe, WI
Position: Plant Controller
Shift: Monday-Friday
Status: Fulltime, Exempt
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including regulatory, operational, and financial reporting, budget, and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to the general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Analyzing the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
  • Provide support to all ad hoc projects and analyze all financial presentations accurately and efficiently to provide support and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare annual budgets and narrative support on critical elements: revenue, margin & expense.
  • Deep understanding of cost accounting as it relates to manufacturing.
  • Provide strategic guidance on requests for capital expenditure to support company growth needs.
  • Monitor all accounting activities and ensure compliance with corporate standards. Including general ledger and financial reporting. Maintain records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
  • Coordinating, preparing, and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on plant performance.
  • Reconcile inventory and maintain accuracy in transactions and records for all inventory. Manage annual physical inventory including cycle count adherence to audit standards.
  • Managing relationship as it pertains to insurance and ensuring compliance.
  • Lead providing necessary information for annual financial audit and tax preparation.
  • Managing cash flow and net working capital.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the accounting team/department.
  • Enhance processes, and initiate and implement process improvement through calculated analysis.
  • Other finance and administrative duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for the job:
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required.
Experience Requirements:
  • 5-7 plus years of Plant Controller and financial management experience.
  • Experience working in a growing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing at least $25+ million in annual revenues.
  • Must have strong ERP Experience – SAP preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing operation.
