Overview:
West Windsor Township is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Municipal Court Administrator to join our team. As the Municpal Court Administrator, under the direction of the Municipal Court Judge, this position has charge of and performs quasi-judicial and administrative functions related to the operation of a Municipal Court; and does related work as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Plans, develops, coordinates, and implements procedures for the efficient and effective operation of the court.
· Supervises Court personnel, monitors performance, and cross-trains employees.
· Instructs office staff on activities related to the implementation of court rules, state statutes, local ordinances, and local court policies.
· Provides and/or arranges for training for all office staff in their respective functions.
· Prepares or supervises the preparation of monthly summary and statistical reports as required by the Township, and the Administrative Office of the Courts.
· Reconciles bank statements on a monthly basis.
· Processes complaints and follows-up.
· Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to analyze ordinances, rules, regulations and procedures relating to the operation of the Municipal Court.
- Knowledge of computer technology and office automation.
- Through knowledge of general accounting and statistical record keeping methods.
- Strong understanding of the need for confidentiality.
- Ability to supervise staff, monitor performance, and cross-train staff in court operations.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with both the general public and employees.
- Maintains a current knowledge of advanced techniques for court administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college granted in an area related to criminal justice, court administration or law enforcement; or Equivalent of two years of credit from an accredited college and at least three years of Municipal Court management; or High School Diploma or its equivalent and five years of Municipal Court management.
- Successful completion of the course requirements established by the Administrative Office of the Courts; or in the process of successful completion of course requirements to attain certification as a Municipal Court Administrator issued by the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Pay: $59,380.00 - $120,698.00 per year
