Job Summary
We are expanding our team and we are looking to hire Multimedia Specialist to work across client projects on a full-time basis in Herndon, Virginia. Multimedia Specialist will use Maya and Photoshop to create 3D renders and integrate on to 2D backplates into a convincing, photoreal, high quality product. The ideal candidate has experience in Lighting and Rendering in 3D applications to maximize photorealism of products, places, and people; and possess the ability to composite those renders into supplied photos seamlessly. Responsibilities and Duties

• Push Realism to the Limit. Blend 2D and 3D components together in a seamless realistic product. 
• Bring Images to Life. Apply latest techniques with strong understanding of lighting to deliver high quality images that look exceptional. 
• Deliver Results. Conceptualize, present, and execute ideas within a schedule, while actively participating in technical and artistic problem solving.
• Raise the Quality Bar. Collaborate with the studio leadership and other artists to set the visual style and quality bar being willing to provide and receive feedback designed to improve products. 

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years’ experience in a professional setting digitally compositing 3d assets and retouching images to create photorealistic end products and/or lighting and rendering photorealistic 3D scenes using Maya or similar tools.
• High level of expertise in Photoshop including a solid understanding of the photo compositing techniques and advanced color grading (i.e. adjustment layers, clipping masks, smart objects, advanced masking, advanced blending).
• Strong sense of color, color space, and design, and an ability to see and create subtle nuance.
• Communicate effectively with project management and creative leads to determine best approach to achieve the desired goal.
• Excellent organization skills to create assets in a manner that is accessed and easily modified by others and track progress / status. 
• Must be open to constructive criticism, and want to learn from teammates, as well as share your knowledge to improve team performance.
• Adjust materials and shaders when necessary to match the desired look.
• High degree of understanding of principles of lighting in a 3D space.
• Have expertise lighting and rendering 3D scenes using Maya (or similar tools).
• Manipulate 3D rig controls and pre made blend shapes to bring to life the character and shot.
• Experience in product visualization/product marketing is a plus.
