* The Mortgage Loan Processor role is very important and requires the qualified candidate to be able to work under very tight deadlines while maintaining the highest level of customer service and accuracy.
TOP 3 DUTIES
1. Deliver WOW Service from Executed Contract to Close
2. Manage the Pipeline
3. Monday and Wednesday Pipeline Updates (additional dates if needed)
o Call & introduce yourself to the borrower within 24 hours of receiving their file
o Notify Realtor or builder to coordinate closing. Assist with client if necessary
o Borrower pre-close call (CD review)
o Closing Email sent to all parties- to include copy of CD, Closing date/time/location, what to bring, cash-to- close, wiring instructions
o Ensure all parties involved in transaction are aware of closing date, time & location to ensure a closing gift is delivered on site at closing
2. Manage the Pipeline
o All loans must close on time and smoothly
o Pipeline meeting Monday and Thursday update Loan Officer and Loan Officer assistant of updates
o Maintain constant product and guideline knowledge
o Review the file and notate any items needed from the borrower within 24 hours prior to submission
o Call and get all conditions within 24-48 hours of conditional approval receipt
Congratulate on approval
Phone call to borrower to explain what’s needed/email receipt after
o Final paperwork received/do a quality control review
Be sure documents received match checklist
Organize assets/income
Mortgage banker checklist/quality assurance checklist
o Direct submit the loan to underwriting no less than 10 days prior to closing
o Ensure documents to closing within 48 hours (business days)
3. Monday Updates
o Update calls to clients only (Loan Officer does the real estate agent updates)
o Written update as well as phone call-copy the Loan Officer
Give a clear and thorough update
o All Wednesday Updates are completed every before noon
** The primary responsibilities of the Mortgage Loan Processor include:
Work directly with borrowers to answer questions, understand their needs, and help guide them through the loan process
Verify information contained in the mortgage application to ensure its completeness and adherence to corporate / regulatory requirements
Coordinate with the borrower to compile the required documentation pertaining to income, assets, liabilities, employment, and other areas
Collaborate with title, valuation, underwriting, closing, technology, and other support groups
Preliminarily evaluate the information provided by the borrower and make recommendations if the loan does not meet the required standards
Coordinate all third-party services such as survey, appraisal, title, etc.
Submit completed applications to underwriting and work with underwriting to cure any issues
Critical Requirements for all Candidates:
Must enjoy working with a company that values its team members
High school diploma or degree from an accredited college or university
Strong PC skill with experience in MS Office
Strong math skills
Experience in Encompass or Empower is preferred
