We're searching for a skilled, detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to join our top-producing team. This position is in-office and will play a vital part in communicating with referral partners, current and past clients, real estate agents, and underwriters to nurture relationships and develop new business. This role requires a unique mix of sales and customer service skills, plus the ability to manage loan files from beginning to end. Effective communication skills are essential for building relationships that help us to obtain future business. You will facilitate the completion of real estate loan applications, collect, analyze, and review supporting loan documentation in accordance with loan guidelines, and provide support throughout the loan application process. Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary contact and liaison between clients, branch manager, and assigned loan originator and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items
• Coordinate and prepare documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
• Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation
• Follow up and respond to clients and partners in order to provide superior customer service
• Assist borrowers in determining the best mortgage type based on interview and situation
Qualifications
• Proficiency in MS Office required; CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required. A college degree in finance or banking is preferred but not required
• NMLS Licensed or will be required to get licensed within the first 90 days of employment
• Ability to effectively work in a strong team-oriented environment and provide outstanding communication and customer service to clients
• Comprehension of basic loan financing options such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement
• Must possess exceptional attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and time management skills
• At least 2 years of loan processing experience required
