Loan Processor
Duties:
- Review loan applications and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Verify borrower information, such as employment, income, and credit history
- Calculate debt-to-income ratios and evaluate creditworthiness
- Prepare loan files for underwriting review
- Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters to gather additional information or resolve any issues
- Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other third parties to facilitate the loan closing process
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in finance or related field is a plus
- Proven experience as a Loan Processor or similar role in a bank or mortgage company
- Strong knowledge of loan origination
- Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and credit analysis
- Proficient in math and financial calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of closing procedures and contract review is preferred
