We are looking to hire Mortgage Loan Originators.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Sales

Division: Retail

Salary Range: Commission only

Summary: This outside sales position will educate, advise, and guide potential borrowers through the loan application process. Review and process loan applications, approve or disapprove loans within established limits by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Provides applicants with information regarding the loan application process.
• Counsels customers with respect to credit needs.
• Obtains complete loan application including all support documentation needed to process the loan.
• Pre-qualifies potential loan applicants by analyzing financial background.
• Analyze applicant’s financial situation and hunts for possible loan solutions.
• Follows up on processing the loan by obtaining additional applicant information if necessary.
• Maintains communications between the lender and borrower.
• Establishes rate with borrower verbally and in writing prior to settlement.
• Explain legal aspects of the loan to the borrower along with payment terms and conditions.
• Understands and supports the corporation's policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all of the corporation's customers.
• Resolves any customer problems in an expeditious and tactful manner.
• Reviews and reports complaints received from customers and recommends corrective action to management.
• Advanced knowledge of FHA, VA and Conventional Guidelines
• Primarily out in the field building relationships with builders, realtors and in the financial industry.
• Travel may be required
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 3 years prior sales experience required.
• NMLS License Required
