We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to support our Dallas location. This position will be a part of, and report to, our Home Loan Express Mortgage Team. We are seeking only individuals with the drive and qualifications to build a team with a goal of generating an Annual Loan Volume of $300,000,000, with approximately $150,000,000 from the WRH New Home business and $150,000,000 from self-generated business (Refi, Realtors, Friends, and Family)
Duties and Responsibilities include
- Contact all WRH New Home Buyers to understand their financial situations and mortgage needs
- Maintain up to date knowledge of mortgage products, interest rates, and industry regulations to provide clients with the best mortgage options
- Evaluate client creditworthiness, review credit reports, and provide guidance on improving credit profiles where necessary
- Ensure all loan applications and transactions adhere to federal and state regulations and company policies
- Maintain open and clear communication with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders throughout the loan process to provide excellent customer service
- Build network of outside business channels such as Realtor relationships, re-finance and other referrals
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or a related role in the mortgage industry
- Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in mortgage software and technology along with experience in Microsoft Office
Education/Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field
- Prior experience in residential homebuilding preferred
- Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license required
