We currently have openings for phlebotomists on our mobile collections team, which travels to different locations for blood drives. This position provides a unique opportunity to work and connect with many different donors daily.
What you’ll be doing:
· Take the time to personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand how impactful their donation is.
· Collaborate with your teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again and again.
· Be detail-oriented all day, every day. This ensures that the blood you collect meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.
· Work with the team to set up and tear down equipment at the donation sites.
Location: Bedford, TX
Job type: Full-time (part-time opportunities may be available after training)
Training Schedule (first 8 weeks)
· Week 1: Classroom Training - Monday-Friday 9 am – 5 pm
· Weeks 2 & 3: Field Training - days & hours will vary depending on Mobile Drives or Donor Center hours
· Week 4: Classroom Training - Monday-Friday 9 am – 5 pm
· Weeks 5, 6 & 7: Field Training - days & hours will vary depending on Mobile Drives or Donor Center hours
· Week 8: Training with Mentors - days & hours will vary
Standard Schedule following Training:
- To best meet the needs of our donors and community, staff work a variable schedule which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays. Blood drives may be scheduled in locations up to 2-3 hours away.
- Schedule is provided 3 weeks in advance
What are we looking for?
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months to 1 year of general work experience or education in the medical field that includes comparable expertise, such as an internship or externship.
- Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills
· Ability to lift and set up blood collection equipment/supplies weighing between 25 to 120 pounds (partner carry). Ability to load and unload vehicles, using push carts/dollies weighing up to approximately 250 pounds, in all types of weather conditions.

- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience

- Motivated to become a designated van or CDL driver through company-sponsored programs

ü Bilingual (Spanish) differential (must pass testing) - $1.00/hr
ü CDL driver - $3.25/hr
ü Van driver - $6/day
ü Weekend differential - $1.00/hr
