Valley Community Services Board (VCSB) is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Mobile Crisis Unit. This employee will respond to requests from the agency and community for crisis intervention services for children/adults, to include limited term community stabilization, crisis intervention, information, and referral to community resources and/or preadmission screening for inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment.

Essential Functions
- provide Mobile Crisis responses to the Valley CSB catchment area homes, schools, and community settings. The catchment area consists of Augusta County, Highland County, Staunton City and Waynesboro City.
- Includes assessing crisis situations, providing de-escalation, and support for individuals in crisis.
- Will have ongoing support and clinical guidance from supervisory staff
- Requires that the incumbent be available to work between home, office, and within the community catchment area to meet the needs of the program.
Minimum Requirements
All applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered qualified for the position:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a behavioral health or human services related field and a minimum of 1 year of documented clinical experience an equivalent combination of education and experience that qualifies the incumbent as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP -A, C and or QIDP
