Mobile Auto Recon Tech Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for preparing all assigned vehicles for the refinishing and reassembly processes and support Paint Technicians in the daily workload.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Able to drive to work location if needed. We are mobile so every day is a different location in the area.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others.
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Learn and perfect methods of rock chip repair.
• Complete all paint preparation processes for vehicles according to factory specification including the directions given by the mentoring paint technician and following the written repair order.
• Follow vender procedures to maintain all tools and equipment, including maintenance of paint booth and booth filter and maintain a clean and organized space.
• Utilize air sanders, sanding blocks for the prepping process.
• Clean, wax, polish and refinish vehicles.
• Compliance to all safety rules, guidelines and standards.
• Ensure that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly has been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to paint technician.
• Perform other related duties as assigned including but not limited to washing cars, keeping work area organized and assisting other team members.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates and work orders.
• Multi-tasking: adapt easily to fast paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMNETS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to easily lift 50 lbs.
• Frequent physical activity such as kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, lifting, is part of daily activity as well as repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion.
• Able to work in all weather conditions. Majority of work will be performed outdoors.

Experience not required this is a PAID INTERNSHIP all training will be provided. Internship starts at 30-40 hrs. per week. After probationary period you will convert to full time. We are looking for the next team member that will help our growing company. Great potential for future earnings!
