We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP). The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and executing MMRP projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
Title – MMRP Project Manager
Reports to – Program Manager
Location – Remote
HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS BAY WEST CLIENTS
- Manage munitions response projects. Overseeing plans, investigations, feasibility studies, removal actions, reports and cost estimates for various projects.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring clear communication and project success.
- Lead project teams by preparing detailed instruction for field staff and mid-level professionals to foster safety, mentoring, authenticity, and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety protocols, and project-specific requirements.
- Ability to work with a diverse project team, including geologists, chemists, engineers, GIS specialists, editorial specialists, risk assessors and geophysicists, as well as engaging stakeholders at both the government and private levels.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
- Bachelor of Science in Geophysics, Geology; or Engineering; or related science degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience overseeing MMRP projects
- Experience managing federal environmental remediation and munitions response projects under the Department of Defense, including: USACE, USAEC, AFCEC & NAVFAC and/or US-EPA
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to munitions response and hazardous waste management.
- Must be open to occasional travel as required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional registration and/or PMP Certification preferred.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current refreshers.
