Job Description
The MLS Support and Training Specialist will be crucial in the handling and front-line support for the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) as well as developing a training schedule for the MLS Software System and Ancillary Products.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the MLS by working with the MLS Committee and through extension the Board of Directors to identify issues and improvements in the functionality of the MLS. Works with third-party vendors to get the programming done once it has been approved by the Board of Directors.
- Possess a full knowledge of the MLS Rules and Regulations, as well as Lock Box Rules and Regulations.
- Responsible for all the MLS training and education for current members, new members, and staff, including new member orientation.
- Track calls and issues to determine areas of concern or a need for training.
- Plans and ensures the successful implementation, maintenance and operation of a MLS system and MLS products that meets the ongoing needs of its users.
- Presents products and services to the appropriate committee for review.
- Works with vendors and providers of desired products throughout the negotiation and implementation process.
- Plans and directs the strategy to comply with regulatory requirements and relevant industry trends.
- Responsible for data quality assurance.
- Works closely with other internal and external groups on resolving product escalations.
Qualifications:
- Managerial experience or a self-starter.
- Proficient in technology and computer programs.
- Experience in the real-estate business or a vast knowledge thereof.
- Highly effective at multitasking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional customer service and support skills.
- A good team player.
- Cannot hold an active Florida real estate license.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time.
- Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.
- Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
- Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time.
