Duties

2. Assist with Family Retreats and Getaways. Provide support in recruitment and organizing a team of volunteers to carry out retreat tasks before, during and after Family Retreat
   1. Assist with application processes and communications for families and STMs/volunteers
   2. Provide support with background check process for STMs/volunteers
   3. Actively evaluate program post Family Retreat and plan for changes as needed
   4. Assist with Family Retreat preparation, execution and follow-up
   5. Assist with Social Media updates regarding Family Retreat
3. Assist with equipping local churches to obtain full ownership over programs
4. Provide support in promoting, facilitating, and leading Joni and Friends church equipping using Joni and Friends Ministry Relations materials and other training materials, including Beyond Suffering, for awareness and education in churches and educational settings at every level
5. Using social media platforms, regularly communicate with the community and Christ-honoring churches locally, regionally, and internationally to increase knowledge and awareness of Joni and Friends Area Ministry programs, events, and donor opportunities
6. Assist with community and regional events
7. Assist with Marriage Retreat as needed and available
8. Support Donor Development and participate in fundraising efforts as needed
9. Represent Ministry in the Community. In collaboration with other staff members and volunteers, set up and operate promotional efforts at area conferences and events as available

• Qualifications

• Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
• Self-starter and team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to provide support to multiple projects and multiple volunteer teams
• Able to interact effectively with leaders throughout the community
• Experience in camping ministry preferred
• Strong computer knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Passion for people affected by disability and scriptural knowledge related to God’s heart for people who are marginalized
• Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and travel

Compensation is $20.00 - $22.50 per hour (will consider candidates that can work 32-40 hours)
