Ministry Assistant

This position will augment the Growth-Track Pastor as a facilitator of the congregational Ministry programs. This person must possess skills such as being warm, friendly, empathetic, enthusiastic, gentle, persistent, flexible, ethical and trustworthy. Growth is defined as a process which Summit Church Members move into one side of guest follow-up and come out the other side of Summit Life connected to an All Star (volunteer) Serve Team or leading or participating in a small group within the Church.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Helps new believers go through a workflow of next steps- Summit Life, Water Baptism, get connected in a Small Group, Summit Growth Track, Mentorship/ Discipleship Program
• Contacts first-time guests and guides them through a workflow toward attendance into the Summit Life Growth Track to encourage involvement and connection in the culture and ministry of Summit Church
• Utilizes church database software to request space and services for meetings, groups and classes
• Assist with Summit Life monthly set-up (two Sundays a month)
• Assists with Small Group practices, training and developing relationships
• Guest Follow-up 
•  Ensures first-time guests move through weekly workflow that includes an invitation to Summit Life, answering questions helping them get connected
• Responsible for Salvation follow-up and assimilation into the culture and ministry of the church. Helps new believers go through a workflow to get connected and determine their next steps: Summit Life, Water Baptism, Small Group, Pursue God Program
• Provides bereavement support, as needed
• Coordinates church water baptisms
• Enters accounting requests in Microix
• Updates personal information to the database
• Assists Growth Track Pastor where needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Office 365
• Excellent organizational/time management skills to include significant attention to detail
