RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, adjust, and operate CNC mills to machine parts to standard work instructions and print specifications.
Deburr and wash parts as needed.
Inspect parts per standard work instructions and print specifications.
Change tooling as required.
Change CNC programs.
Use small drill press for miscellaneous operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S).
Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Per 8 hr. shift (stand 6 hrs., walk 2 hrs., may have to stand/walk 8 hrs.), frequently (balance, push/pull), occasionally (bend/stoop/twist, torque, reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, work with arms outstretched, work above chest level, climb stairs, climb to step into lift trucks). Continuous lifting and carrying (continuously from 0 to 10 lbs., frequently from 11 to 30 lbs., occasionally from 31 to 50 lbs.) Must be able to hear, see, do simple and firm grasping with both hands, and use foot to operate foot pedal. Must be able to work in a noisy environment that includes exposure to dust, shavings, vibrations, solvents, grease, and oil. Must be able to safely work in areas of lift truck traffic. Required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operate machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Basic math (including fractions and decimals), convert between metric and English, convert between millimeters and inches, read blueprints, read gauges and micrometers, read CNC programs, some knowledge of CNC programming, reason, and analyze. Must be able to multi-task. Perform same basic tasks every day and follow well established procedures. Work according to daily standard instructions.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Verniers, micrometer, wrenches, deburring tools, utility knife, gauges, handheld air tools, drill press, hoist, metal chip conveyor, computer, ear plugs, safety shoes, face shield, and safety glasses.
SCHEDULE SPECIFICATIONS
- 4 days 10 hours schedule.
- Weekend shift hours: 4:45am to 2:55pm
- $3.00 dolars of shift premium for weekends
- 3 options on working days:
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday Monday
- Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
