How you will make an impact:
Military Program Therapist – This position works on the Military Unit (AKA STAR Program) with active duty and veterans. This unit is a rehabilitation level of care, while still an inpatient setting. The Program Therapist performs functions assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs and gaining skills, through therapeutic treatment to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching. Also completes specialized clinical social work services for patients/families requiring care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. The Program Therapist is responsible for planning and coordinating activities related to discharge planning. Developing and implementing a plan of care designed to meet the patient’s post hospitalization needs while ensuring continuity of care. No supervisory function.

Qualifications:
Experience: Prefered: one (1) of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. New Master's graduates encouraged to apply!
Licensure:Must be state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field. LPC-Associate, LPC, LMSW, Temporary CSWA license or LCSW license required or working to obtain licensure.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
