SURESTAFF is immediately hiring MIG/TIG Welders for a large, well-known client in Terrell, TX. Ideal applicants should have experience in TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum, or experience with MIG welding processes and various grinding tools. The Welder is responsible for production welding a variety of assemblies, and setup, operating and light maintenance of production equipment.

Available shifts include Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:30pm. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work from instructions and prints to arrange parts into welding fixtures, clamp pieces into
- position and tack weld and/or apply finished weld. Select proper equipment, set voltage and
- wire feed settings to obtain proper strength and appearance.
- Handle assorted raw materials, steel parts, and steel scrap.
- Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety
- work rules.
- Perform work in a manner that all products conform to prescribed quality standards.
- Perform incoming inspection, sorting, receiving of bar stock, pipe, rod material and welding
- supplies.
- Perform light maintenance on plant equipment where needed; i.e., startup/shutdown, maintain
- inspection records and keep work environment clean.
- Operate small electric/air hand tools.
- On occasion, cross-train and operate some or all of the following production equipment:
- press brake, spot welder, turret, rivut gun, Stud gun, and sander.
- Participate in and support continuous process improvements.
- Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification.
Physical Demands
- The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or
- controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance;
- stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and overhead work. Employee has some exposure to fumes, glare and
- radiation of arc. The employee is occasionally required to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Requirements and Qualifications
- The qualified candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years welding experience
- Ability to safely and effectively operate welding and fabrication equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with personnel and read and interpret
- documents, such as welding blueprints
- Proficient with mathematical calculations and use of measuring devices
