We are seeking a Mid-Level LHA Hull and Mechanical (H&M) and Aviation Engineer for the Amphibious Warfare Program Office for the US Navy in the Washington, DC Navy Yard area. The office manages the acquisition of Navy amphibious ships and craft including:
- America class Amphibious Assault Ship (LHA (R))
- Amphibious Assault Direction System (AADS)
- Ship to Shore Connector (SSC)
- Landing Craft Utility (LCU)
- Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC)
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Providing overall LCU H&M engineering management support to the PMS377 Technical team.
- Reviewing Boat Alts, test plans, and test reports and performs applicable engineering analyses as necessary.
- Working/updating the status of work in PMS377?s IDESC.
- The person in this position will research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
- Travel up to 20% of time.
