Microbiology Sample Coordinator

Michelson Laboratories, Inc is a Food and Environmental Testing laboratory in City of Commerce that is rapidly growing. We have a wide range of internal laboratories, including Microbiology, Chemistry, Instrumentation, Entomology, Environmental, and Proximate. Michelson Laboratories, Inc is a top-tier Testing laboratory that has assembled a renowned team of scientific experts and is well known within the scientific community and food industry. Michelson Laboratories, Inc is making a major commitment to expanding its professional team. We are looking for a full-time (M-F) entry-level Quality Systems Assistant.

Duties for Microbiology Sample Coordinator:

• Receive, review, and login food, water, etc. samples with associated chain of custody / paperwork
• Prepare and maintain documentation for various sample submissions
• Review data for accuracy and prevention control
• Follow Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment under time constrains.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding sample submission status through completion of testing via e-mail or by phone
• Identify and effectively communicate with team regarding any issues
• Assist with other lab related tasks, as needed
• Assisting and reporting to the Operations Manager
• Support company safety and environmental policies

Shift start time can vary between 10:00AM- 1:00PM. No previous experience is required.

Requirements for Microbiology Sample Coordinator:
High School/G.E.D, A.A. or B.S in sciences related field preferred.
