The second shift is 2:00pm-10:30pm
The third shift 10:00pm-6:30 am
Description:
- Conduct general food micro testing including generic pathogenic micro under guidance of the Quality Assurance Supervisor or as outlined in the protocol
- Obtain samples from production and process sample preps for micro testing, including media prep as directed or outlined in the protocol.
- Count and record micro plate counts.
- Conduct a specific micro testing under the guidance of the microbiologist
- Assist in the processing of samples from receipt through testing, including all associated documentation and recordkeeping including data entry in internal electronic system, helping to ensure that all steps are completed in a thorough and timely manner as outlined in protocol and to communicate promptly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor
- Assist in maintaining thorough, complete,and timely documentation and recordkeeping as outlined in established SOP
- Adhere to and models good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good laboratory practices (GLP) at all times
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 1 -2 years micro test or food analysis lab experiences and basic knowledge of microbiology
- Prior QA/QC experience in food manufacturing is a plus
- B.S. degree in food, chemistry, microbiology, biology or related is required
Local to the area, as this role is onsite.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
