Job Summary:
To provide leadership and management to all personnel within the Pediatric Cardiology Non-Invasive Department. Work directly with Physician Director to manage and support all clinical functions of assigned department. Ensure efficient and effective delivery of clinical service. Ensure compliance with all administrative, regulatory and clinical practice guidelines. Assist all employees in performing job duties as outlined and in accordance with the Medical Center's mission
Education & Experience
MEET THE EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION BY THE AMERICAN REGISTRY OF DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHERS (ARDMS) OR CARDIOVASCULAR CREDENTIALING INTERNATIONAL (CCI). Bachelor's/Master's degree preferred. Two (2) years of imaging experience. One (1) year of supervisory experience required. Meet the educational requirements for registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular credentialing International (CCI).
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
ARMDS or CCI registration in the area(s) of specialization. Board certification in pediatric / neonatal ultrasound.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct the operations and delivery of patient care within the budgetary, staffing and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in planning, preparing and prioritizing of budget for assigned area of responsibility. Provide ongoing monitoring of budget compliance and investigate variances providing plans for reconciliation.
  • Provide ongoing management of contractual services and capital requests for Non-Invasive Imaging Department
  • Collaborate with physician director to plan, develop and implement IAC-approved protocols in an effort the maintenance of IAC accreditation
  • Plan, schedule and organize the work of the assigned area to ensure proper distribution of assignments and efficient utilization of clinical personnel, space and facilities.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to effectively manage resources and assets.
  • Manage assigned personnel, providing coaching, education, training and evaluation of performance. Ensure that personnel demonstrate quality standards of patient care and customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with Children's Heart Center Leadership on initiatives for growth.
  • Plan and participate in ongoing quality and performance improvement activities to enhance the delivery of clinical care.
