Job Summary
The Life Center Operations Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations and financial management of the various program components. Programs include, but are not limited to the Prisma Health Life Center. This individual ensures compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, Prisma Health's philosophy and missions statement, Life Center mission, vision, and values and all regulatory agencies. Actively participates in statistical analysis, budgeting, financial analysis, and comparison of actual results to budget and pricing of the program services. Analyses operating results of the programs and recommends action to improve or enhance results. Financial management, human resource management, marketing and community relations are essential job functions.
Accountabilities
- Plans, organizes and manages the programs and daily operations of the programs within GHS and Life Center strategic plans and mission statements. Participates in long and short range planning for all facility programs, community initiatives, partnerships and Prisma Health departments.30%
- Manages the daily financial aspects of the program's operation within fiscal guidelines. 20%
- Manages the human resource functions of the facilities. Mentors and coaches staff in customer service behaviors consistent with Prisma Health and Life Center missions, visions, and values. 20%
- Maintains the service excellence infrastructure for the program, including monitoring environmental services, plant operations, employee and member satisfaction through surveys, rounds and staff/member feedback. Ensures problems and complaints are investigated and resolved within established timeframe.15%
- Interacts with designated departments within the Life Center and Prisma Health to accomplish assigned duties. Participates and leads management staff meetings, committees, work groups and advisory boards to address operational needs and requirements. 15%
- Manages the daily business and clinical functions of the facilities to ensure its
- smooth operation. Ensures that all Prisma Health and regulatory compliance policies are up-to-date and followed as well as all Life Center manuals and policies and procedures. 10%
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health Company or affiliate and will have direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise physiology, health promotion, or related field
5 years Fitness/wellness facility or program management experience.
