Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 5+ years of recent pediatric experience in area of specialty required. Previous supervisory and CNS experience preferred.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. It’s Work That Matters.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) provides clinical leadership and expertise for population-based nursing care to integrate evidence based care, advance clinical practice, achieve optimal nurse-sensitive patient outcomes and facilitate transitions of care. The CNS provides leadership and mentoring to support the interprofessional team in the evaluation and implementation of evidence-based therapies and research. The CNS will function independently as needed in all aspects of work area clinical operations on a 24-hour basis. The CNS will collaborate with other work area leaders in the supervision of unit staff and implementation of projects to achieve the goals and objectives of the work area.
