- Explores system issues and processes; coordinating improvement efforts
- Utilizes advanced practice nurse training for in depth case review, with identification for opportunities for improvement
- Lead for system initiatives that support quality outcomes
- Look at system outcomes, collaborating with unit CNS, leadership, and providers to identify best practices and effectiveness of current interventions to achieve optimal outcomes
- Liaison with Medical Groups and interprofessional groups to attain outcomes across the system
- Recommend and develop procedures (Standards) to meet the requirements in areas of responsibility
- Evaluates data, completes observations reviews literature to recommend changes needed in practice
- Examines data for trends, performs observations/audits to validate trends and develop plan for improvement
Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.
