Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) Mechanical group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a MFC Maintenance First-Line Manager.
Our team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our Materials and Fuels Complex with every Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) Maintenance First-Line Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction in executing maintenance activities at MFC. The First-Line Manager shall ensure effective integration of ESH&Q, Radiological Control, Integrated Safety Management, Conduct of Maintenance/Operations, policies, practices, and procedures into the work execution process. Key functions of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, Organize, Staff, Lead, Assess & Improve per the MFC Management Plan.
- Provide oversight of craft technicians and resources as required to execute maintenance within nuclear and non-nuclear facilities at MFC.
- Establish and clearly communicate the highest expectations and standards for all responsibilities.
- Work with management to implement established policies and procedures.
- Develop work group capability to meet current and future maintenance needs.
- Provide creative and practical solutions to a wide range of issues.
- Identify and implement craft personnel career development, mentoring, and growth opportunities.
- Identify performance gaps and take steps to close gaps and improve proficiency.
- Function independently within policy and procedural direction from management.
- Champion and ensure HPI tools and strong safety culture principles are embedded into daily activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with four (4) years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience, or Certificate of Applied Science and High School Diploma with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience is required
- Relevant experience includes a maintenance background in a technical field such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and equipment operator Must be a US Citizen and have the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading and managing craft technician personnel (HVAC, Mechanics, Equipment Operators) in a nuclear environment executing safe, proficient, compliant maintenance activities to the quality and standards applicable to the task
Job Information:
- Salary Grade MR0100 - 210 ($93,492 - $154,212)
- TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment
