Mes Testing & Application Engineer

As an MES Testing and Application Engineer to lead application and platform testing for MES, Paper-to-Glass digitalization solutions and other shop floor execution technologies. Combine technical and functional skills to ensure software products meet quality and governance standards. Contribute to advancement of technology in area of expertise. Develop productive collaborations and communications with other groups across multiple disciplines. Manage all areas of SLC for our digital platforms.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

• Developing the testing strategy for shop floor execution system, including test plans and scenarios for functional and integration capabilities/features.
• Overseeing the transition to fully automated functional and interface testing. 
• Overseeing execution of test procedures. Manage internal and external test resources, manage priorities, assign tasks, and monitor execution. 
• Consolidating and analyzing findings from executed test plans. Work with application and infrastructure engineers to continuously enhance the test strategy. 
• Review test artifacts to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to the test strategy and plan. 
• Defect tracking working with relevant engineering teams to resolve application, interface, and infrastructure defects. 
• Enhancing QA and automation frameworks by working with internal and external experts.
• Leading application validation efforts for the MES area and being the link between Application Engineers, architects, and the software quality assurance organization.
• Operating in a highly autonomous manner, performing activities, requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor. Accountable for total project scope, budget, completion within budget constraints and scheduled completion date. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control.
• Initiating new areas of investigation that are meaningful, reliable, and can be incorporated directly into a scientific or business activity.
•     Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential function and integration risks within the test strategy. Analyze risk, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor effectiveness within the test strategy.

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required

• Bachelor's Degree with 6 years' experience; master's degree with 5 years' experience
• Possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of manufacturing execution systems and processes.
• Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Experience managing validation applications, including application validation protocols. 
• 5 years managing projects and programs

Beneficial:
