What You'll Do
The Merchandising Support Specialist plays a pivotal role providing essential support to our stores and customers. This position is responsible for supporting a seamless flow of merchandising operations and addressing a variety of customer needs, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
- Collaborate with Store Operations and Purchasing to resolve outstanding purchase orders causing errors.
- Accurately enter special orders initiated by Store Operations, ensuring precise execution and timely fulfillment.
- Identify and troubleshoot purchase orders that encounter transmission issues between suppliers, stores, and distribution centers, resolving any impediments swiftly.
- Offer support to Store Operations for addressing customer requests, ensuring their needs are met in a responsive and professional manner.
- Assist Store Operations in managing product returns for overstocked items, facilitating a seamless return process.
- Address and resolve issues related to items not scanning correctly, proactively identifying the root causes, and implementing corrections to maintain operational efficiency in stores.
- Efficiently manage the Merchandising Help Desk Ticketing system, prioritizing, and addressing store and customer inquiries promptly.
- Actively engage in learning opportunities, including training programs, workshops, and webinars, to continually enhance your knowledge and skills, staying current with industry developments.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to both internal and external stakeholders, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success
- At least 2 years of customer service and/or retail experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Oracle Systems.
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining positive relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and address challenges that may arise in communication.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a high level of adaptability in response to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving business needs.
- Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

- Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
- Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
- Able to navigate and access all facilities.
