What You'll Do
The Merchandising Support Specialist plays a pivotal role providing essential support to our stores and customers. This position is responsible for supporting a seamless flow of merchandising operations and addressing a variety of customer needs, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

• Collaborate with Store Operations and Purchasing to resolve outstanding purchase orders causing errors.
• Accurately enter special orders initiated by Store Operations, ensuring precise execution and timely fulfillment.
• Identify and troubleshoot purchase orders that encounter transmission issues between suppliers, stores, and distribution centers, resolving any impediments swiftly.
• Offer support to Store Operations for addressing customer requests, ensuring their needs are met in a responsive and professional manner.
• Assist Store Operations in managing product returns for overstocked items, facilitating a seamless return process.
• Address and resolve issues related to items not scanning correctly, proactively identifying the root causes, and implementing corrections to maintain operational efficiency in stores.
• Efficiently manage the Merchandising Help Desk Ticketing system, prioritizing, and addressing store and customer inquiries promptly.
• Actively engage in learning opportunities, including training programs, workshops, and webinars, to continually enhance your knowledge and skills, staying current with industry developments.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to both internal and external stakeholders, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success

• At least 2 years of customer service and/or retail experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Oracle Systems.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining positive relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and address challenges that may arise in communication.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a high level of adaptability in response to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving business needs.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
• Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
• Able to navigate and access all facilities.
• Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
• Close vision for computer-related activities.
