Essential Functions for Mental Health Therapist

• Provide crisis intervention and therapy case management services to young adults.
• Direct service of proactive de-escalation with youth in crisis and referrals for community-based Mental Health services (i.e., psych evaluation services, TIP applications, CBH, etc.)
• Engagement and support for youth living on the streets during outreach to address trauma-related issues, self-esteem development, and other topics as needed.
• Triage youth utilizing instruments to assess severity of need such as risk assessments, suicide assessments, and other behavioral health tools.
• Accompany Emergency Services team with outreach connecting with young adults to

Qualifications for Mental Health Therapist

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with young adults in a clinical setting.
• A Master's degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, or other related field.
• They shall never have been convicted of any child abuse offense.
• Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practices.
• Ability to complete biopsychosocial assessments with understanding of clinical notation.
• Possess sound judgement and strong clinical skills with the utilization of clinical practices, such as, counseling techniques, use of crisis interventions, active listening, etc.
• Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
• Ability to administer clinical assessments and create treatment plans (i.e., depression scales, safety planning, etc).

• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing X Occasionally
