Essential Functions for Mental Health Therapist
- Provide crisis intervention and therapy case management services to young adults.
- Direct service of proactive de-escalation with youth in crisis and referrals for community-based Mental Health services (i.e., psych evaluation services, TIP applications, CBH, etc.)
- Engagement and support for youth living on the streets during outreach to address trauma-related issues, self-esteem development, and other topics as needed.
- Triage youth utilizing instruments to assess severity of need such as risk assessments, suicide assessments, and other behavioral health tools.

Qualifications for Mental Health Therapist
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with young adults in a clinical setting.
- A Master's degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, or other related field.
- They shall never have been convicted of any child abuse offense.
- Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practices.
- Ability to complete biopsychosocial assessments with understanding of clinical notation.
- Possess sound judgement and strong clinical skills with the utilization of clinical practices, such as, counseling techniques, use of crisis interventions, active listening, etc.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Ability to administer clinical assessments and create treatment plans (i.e., depression scales, safety planning, etc).
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing X Occasionally
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds X Never
- Moving from one worksite to another X Occasionally
