Job Responsibilities
This position is located at Department of Mental Health/Columbia Area Mental Health Center, Adult Clinic Services (ACS), CAMHC #429.
Under general supervision, provides an array of clinical services to promote recovery, stabilization, and independence based on patient's needs and plan of care; require meeting Center's Patient Care Hours standard and other benchmarks.
Collects, organizes and records data and information in each patient's medical record according to Quality Assurance standards, CARF guidelines, and Corporate Compliance standards; require meeting Center's 85% same-day documentation standard.
Attends and participates in multidisplinary team meetings to plan treatment for patients, enhance operation of program and communications with other staff/family members, while being responsive to the needs of the patients of ACS.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
CAMHC Prefers:
A master's degree and one (1) year of post master's counseling experience.
Thorough knowledge of psychopathology, diagnostics, counseling, case management and recovery; able to provide services to serious, persistent mentally ill persons and the dually diagnosed. Licensure preferred; licensure supervision available.

Adult Clinic Services (ACS) is also an approved site of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment to employees of NHSC-approved sites. You must be a US citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired, and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans.
